Meet Our Dental Team Walnut Creek
Like a Day at the Beach
Our dental team in Walnut Creek loves helping patients feel right at home whether they are coming to see us for the first time or have been here for years. Our team's focus is to build relationships with our patients to ensure a warm and friendly experience.
Amanda, Registered Dental Hygienist

Amanda’s whole career – which spans more than 25 years – has been spent working in dental offices. She started as a dental assistant, and today she is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Blue Wave Dental. She enjoys getting the chance to build relationships with so many different patients and being able to make positive changes in their lives.
Amanda has been with her husband for over 25 years, and they have two sons who both love football. Her hobbies include shopping for antiques, creating homemade gifts, and gardening.
“I get to see Dr. David’s work up close, and it is the best that I have seen. I am so honored to work for a dentist that takes such pride in his work.”
Liza, Office Manager

Liza was born in Pearl City, Hawaii. Growing up, she had an underbite and ended up spending so much time in the dental chair that a career in the field made perfect sense. Liza started out as a Registered Dental Assistant for several years and is now Office Manager for the Blue Wave Dental team. She has been working with Dr. David for more than 8 years. Her focus is to attend to our patients’ needs, both clinically and financially.
She married her high school prom date, and they now have two adult sons. They are all big foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants. With the boys grown and out of the house, meals all together is a mom’s dream come true!
“Seeing our patients’ smile and boost of self-confidence is the best part of my day!”
Joanne, RDA

Joanne spent some time working as a dental assistant at her aunt’s practice and eventually earned her license as a Registered Dental Assistant. Her background includes experience in administrative and clinical work as well as maintenance and lab work. She appreciates that her job allows her to address her patients’ dental concerns so that they can feel better about their smiles.
When Joanne isn’t at the office, she enjoys singing and playing the guitar.
Karina, Dental Assistant

Karina became interested in dentistry when she spent some time at her neighbor’s practice watching procedures being performed. She loved seeing the relationships being built with the patients, and this encouraged her to enter the field herself. She considers getting to improve the lives of her patients to be the best part of her job.
Karina loves traveling to new places and trying the foods there. Closer to home, she likes spending time at the gym, going to concerts, and watching Grey’s Anatomy.
Javier, Registered Dental Hygienist

Javier Green is a husband, father of 2 and a Navy veteran. He has always had a passion for health care and wanted to be in the dental field since he was about 10 years old. Providing care for patients has brought him great joy, so much so, that he has just completed his first year of dental school. "Working at Blue Wave Dental has not only provided me with a sturdy foundation, but has allowed me to grow into the provider that I am today."
Stephanie, Dental Assistant
With nearly a decade of experience in the dental field and counting, Stephanie greatly enjoys seeing patients fall in love with their new smiles. Born and raised in Concord, she attended Mount Diablo Adult Education to receive her certifications in dental assisting as well as infection control, X-rays, and radiation safety. The best part of her day is usually when she gets to interact and build relationships with her patients.
Away from the office, Stephanie is a proud mother of three incredible children—each of them with a bold personality that keeps life fun and always interesting. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, being outdoors, cycling, going to the beach, and making memories with friends. One fun fact about her is that she can handle the kind of spicy food that can make other people cry!
Jaylia, Dental Assistant
Originally from Hughson, CA, Jaylia attended the Mount Diablo Adult Education Dental Assistant Program to obtain her certification. In the past, she used to wear braces and did lots of research about the dental field that helped grow her passion for the dental field. Today, her favorite thing about being a dental assistant is helping patients feel better and boosting their confidence. Seeing someone who is feeling pain or self-conscious and leaving comfortable and happy with their smile, and knowing that she had a major part to play in this, is deeply rewarding for her.
Outside of dentistry, Jaylia lives with her dad, her younger sister, two dogs, and a pet snake. Her hobbies involve painting, reading, practicing yoga, and hanging out with her slithery friend. She also really likes reading thriller books!
